Job Summary: The Charge Nurse is accountable for the patient care delivered during the assigned shift. This position supervises, evaluates and schedules unit personnel on the shift assigned. The Charge Nurse collaborates with the Nurse Manager to resolve personnel, patient, and unit issues and mentors and develops the unit/shift team.
Floor closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and possible opening/call on holidays.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure. BSN preferred. BCLS required within 6 month provisional period.
Experience: Recent hospital RN experience in which leadership, interpersonal, and problem solving qualities have been demonstrated. Knowledgeable of clinical practice of the specialty.
Charge Nurse Experience & ACLS required for 26-bed GYN/ENT/Plastics/Post-Partum/Pain Patients
