Job Summary

The Voice Network Support Technician's role is to install, support, and maintain in-house voice, data, and video equipment. This includes configuring, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail and PBX communication systems, and video conferencing environments. The person will also analyze and resolve telecommunications circuit issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and assist all user needs

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Education:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field with

emphasis in Electronics or Telecommunications preferred.  Extensive experience may be

considered in leiu of degree.

Experience: Experience in mechanical or electronic fundamentals helpful.  Understanding of

concepts of telephony and cabling standards helpful. Knowledge of Windows operating system. 

Ability to manage a stressful work environment related to changing priorities and critical support

needs.  Ability to travel to 0ff-site locations.  Demonstrated ability to relate to all levels of the user


Additional Experience:  Ability to analyze, coordinate, and manage multiple technologies and

concepts effectively. Experienced in project management and establishing protocols for system

development. Demonstrate ability to develop an installation plan from start to finish and

coordinate the resources needed to complete. Work independently of supervision.
