Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in the state of Alabama, a pharmacy intern may perform the following tasks: monitor drug therapy to improve patient outcome and quality of care; recommend rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives and provide accurate and efficient medication distribution; implement and evaluate nutritional support and pharmacokinetic regimens.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
A pharmacy intern level II must have the following criteria's: graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy; registered pharmacist within the United States; awaiting pharmacist licensure with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. License to practice pharmacy in Alabama required within 120 days of starting employment.
Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy or registered pharmacist within the United States.
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be proficient in mathematics.
