Executes appropriate patient care by assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Involved directly with hemodynamic monitoring and various life support equipment to the cath lab area. Evaluates patient's condition and responds with appropriate care. Registry may define responsibilities that are specific to each registry, but do not limit activities under direct physician supervision. Education: Registered Nurse, Radiographic Technologist AART License or AART eligibility, or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist. BCLS certification required/ACLS preferred; required within 18 months of hire date. Experience: Cardiovascular patient care, radiographic special procedures and/or hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred. Cardiac catheterization for diagnostic and interventional procedures experience also preferred. |
